although competition decisions defense gives guys starting
We're starting to get our guys back who were hurt, which is great, although it gives us a lot of decisions to make. There's competition on defense for who's going to be in the lineup each and every night, which is good.
good played
We played well in the first, and we didn't play well after that. Obviously, that's not good enough. We can't play 20 minutes.
defended energy played
We played 60 minutes. We defended with energy and we played with urgency.
anybody expect fight
Anybody you play is going to be a battle. We expect (Quad City) to give us a fight for our lives.
battle game
The big thing is that we have to get our two points. We're in a battle here and every game is important.
bring compete composure confident discipline good ourselves playing playoff position time
I think we feel confident that we have a good team. But the thing at playoff time is we've got to bring more discipline and more composure than we've been playing with. The jury's still out, but I think we've put ourselves in a position that we can compete with anybody.
cleaning good help
I think it's going to do a lot of good for the city. I think that it's going to help out by cleaning up the houses, some of the streets.
depth five four gives lots move played players playing quality
It gives us quality players back there and lots of depth. For a while there, we were playing with five 'D' for a whole month, I think and for a while we played with four 'D' for a little bit. You need the depth as you move on.
bit center happy help playing role team
He's been playing center a little bit lately, so he can take any role I want to give him. He's just happy to do anything to help the team win.
bad discipline focus lose lost plan stick time year
We lost our discipline and we lost our composure, and at this time of year you need that. You can't lose focus of what you're doing. If something bad happens, you've got to stick to the plan and keep working.
biggest composure cost discipline hockey issue lost minutes seven six stay stronger surprise time year
We lost our composure for six or seven minutes and that cost us. It doesn't surprise me (because) that's been our biggest issue all year is having discipline and having composure. This time of year, it's magnified and you have to be even stronger and you've got to have a stronger will and stay in the hockey game.
turn
What else could we do but turn it up. We did and now we're still in the series.
bad came continue definitely learn penalty
It has to be, because we take too many bad penalties. If we continue to do that and not learn our lesson, we're going to be in trouble. But the penalty killing definitely came up big tonight.
good points time
At this time of year, every two points is a good win. We'll take it, and we have to try and get two more tomorrow.
