basketball numbers win
When you have her at those numbers ... you think you'd win a basketball game.
conference control good half midway played slowly tempo win
We started slowly but played better midway through the first half and were able to control the tempo of the game. It's always good to get that first win in conference play.
bored defensive mental win
I don't know if we were bored or what. We did just enough to win the game. We had too many mental lapses and defensive breakdowns.
both ends floor plays points role score shows team win
It shows her role on this team is not just to score points for us. If she doesn't have 33 or 25, we're still going to win games. She makes big plays on both ends of the floor for us.
aggressive care lost ncaa points rebound team tournament win
That's not why we lost the game. We lost because the other team was more aggressive than us and we didn't take care of the boards. You can't win in the NCAA tournament when you don't rebound and give up points like we did.
basketball doubt matter mind win
There was no doubt in my mind that we were going to win this basketball game. There was no doubt in my mind before the game, after yesterday's practice, after shoot-around today. We wanted this game, it didn't matter who we played, it was all about us.
dug five hole knew offensive ourselves six time tough turn win
Five of our first six possessions were turnovers. We dug ourselves a hole very, very quickly. It was 10-0 before you knew it. But any time you turn it over 24 times and give up 18 offensive rebounds, it's going to be tough to win on another team's floor.
players team time
This time of the year, nothing replaces experience. It's what we have to go on. It can't be one or two players who will put the team on their backs.
basketball believe build confidence confident good kids places pull remind
We just have to pull some kids out of the places they're in. Some kids aren't as confident as they need to be. We have to build their confidence and remind them they're still a good basketball team. They've got to believe it and play like it.
display percent shoot
This was a very disappointing display of basketball. When you shoot 31 percent and have 20 turnovers, you're not going to win, especially in March.
bench figure percent production
You got to go with what has been working and I think right now, if you figure out the percentages, we were getting 50 percent of our production from our bench and 50 percent from our starters.
consistency kindness lack ongoing point rather
At this point of the season, you would rather not have to make these kind of moves. But as a coach, you find yourself making adjustments all year. Our lack of consistency has been an ongoing thing all year.
effort energy hard people second work
We just wanted to show 12,000 people what we were all about. That's hard work and second effort and just a lot of energy out there.
consistent might players
We might have to shorten our bench. Some players have been more consistent lately.
