focused games hopefully kids stay third
We had some pretty pooped kids at the end of that third game. But hopefully we can stay focused with just two games in a day.
fourth game tough
It's tough to get that fourth game on somebody.
coach four games happened seven split three win
It's our first ever on Hays. At least, I know it hasn't happened in my seven years (as coach). I don' think we've ever split to win three of four to win three games is really special.
game kids mess
It hurts. The kids were a mess after the game - we all were.
both break earned game good pitching winning
There was good pitching in the first game for both sides. We each got a break and scored with an error, but then we earned the winning run.
communication far problems
We had some communication problems on how far to go down the court. We just made a little adjustment.
learning stuff thrown
Sometimes, you get stuff thrown at you that incorporates all of your learning.

We really should have scored 10 runs in that game.

We played solid ball (Friday). (Today) we play a really good South Dakota State team.
hope
We have more in us than we showed. I hope we find it (today).

I was very happy with our defense. In three of the quarters they had four, five, and five points, and that's just us playing with a lot of heart and on Senior Night that was great for them. We were on the floor for every loose ball and we got after it.
We need to play better (today). We just need to come out swinging. We still think we can get it done.

It definitely was a defensive battle -- almost like a chess match. And at the end, for those last few minutes, it was just pure grit.
