against bad job pitching staff tremendous wake year
I don't want to say anything bad about Vlad because I don't want to wake him up. I think our pitching staff is doing a tremendous job all year long against him.
embarrass
I don't want to embarrass the kid, but I want the big boy.
coming stuff whoever worry
I don't worry about stuff I can't control. Whoever is coming is coming.
baseball best came consistency created fun hitters home numbers produced seen talk watch white
He's one of the best right-handed hitters I've ever seen in my life. His numbers talk for themselves. From the first day he came into the league, he created something new for the White Sox and baseball -- the numbers he put up, that many home runs, that many walks, you don't see that a lot. The consistency was outstanding, really professional. Day in and day out he produced and he was fun to play with, fun to watch hit.
best good job people selfish true
He's my true leader, ... When I got this job and people say he was good in the clubhouse, he was different then, he's a selfish player. But I got this job for two years and he's the best thing I have.
hurt
He's not hurt of anything. ... He's just tired.
carry good kid team
I can see this kid having a pretty good year. That's why we got him. He could carry this team for a little while.
anybody anyone hit last smart tony wonder
I don't like it the way it happened. I wonder why he hit for Teixeira that last inning. That's a Tony La Russa move. That's a pretty smart move. I'm not going to hit anyone today. I'm not going to hit anybody tomorrow.
chicago fans good patience rooting waited
The fans in Chicago waited so long with so much patience and were still there for us, rooting for us for I don't know how many years. Good thing we did it.
bring country enjoy leave people series time trophy united
I'm going to try to bring the World Series trophy so that my country may enjoy what the people of the U.S. enjoy, ... It's the first time the World Series trophy is going to leave the United States.
bat chance drop gave great hands himself hit home last man twice
I'm not going to take the bat out of his hands like I did last year. He gave himself up once or twice a game, and that's why I want to drop him down in the lineup. He is a great RBI man and this will give him a chance to hit more home runs.
change respect struggling
I'm not going to change him because he's struggling right now. The way you are, I respect that.
excited great people wait work
I'm excited for the people here. They wait so long for this to happen. It was a lot of work but a great thing to get it done.
anybody game knew
I knew 100 percent, for sure. In Game 2, it was close. This play, anybody could see.
