clubhouse happy people sigh surprised took walked
I walked into this clubhouse and I took a big sigh of relief, then another. I feel more relaxed, more comfortable with this team. So many (Arizona) people have told me they were happy I was traded. I wasn't surprised I was traded, I was surprised it took so long.
league national people talk
That's me, baby. I talk on base. I talk when I go to the plate. I talk to the catcher, the umpires. It's all good. I don't know too many catchers in the National League yet, but most people know my personality. They just smile.
bad bird carolina dog neck
I'm sorry, man. That's my boy. He's a Carolina bird dog just like me. We're from the same neck of the woods. I feel bad about that. He's the big dog. I don't want to get traded.
game guy matter team type
No matter what team I'm on, it's not going to be quiet. I'll see to that. I'm the type of guy to keep everyone loose, before the game and after the game.
chips great pass takes teams turn
You have to pass the baton. Everyone takes a turn and chips in. That's what great teams do.
game hard slump smile whether
You're going to see a smile on my face. That's regardless. That's every day, whether I'm going through a slump or whatever. This game is hard enough as it is. We're going to have some fun.
bet goal goals
I would have bet anything that he was going to win. This has always been a goal of mine, so I've accomplished one of my goals already.
good matter
I feel good with my defense, but no matter how you do things, you can always do it better.
faith seen win worked
I feel for him because he's worked so hard. I've seen him win 18 games. . . . I've still got faith in Russ and I know he does, too.
behind finally four guy hitting hole home pushing three wind
About time. Hitting in the four hole or three hole, what kind of guy doesn't have any home runs? He had the wind pushing behind it, so he finally got one out of the yard.
few quite tried turn
I tried to turn it too quick. I take that loss. That one's on me right there. I've made that play quite a few times, but not that time.
fun playing since
It's a business, but you have to have fun. You can't take the fun out of a sport that we've been playing since T-ball.
top
We'll be around the top of our division.
I'll take that loss. That was my loss. That was on me right there.
