bottom happy ugly wish won
I was just happy to get the win. It was an ugly game. I wish we would have won in regulation, but we won, and that's the bottom line.
earlier gave guys help
We gave them a little too much respect. I didn't help myself out much. I didn't bale the guys out like I did earlier in the year.
advantage obviously tired took
Obviously they were a little tired and a little flat. We took advantage of the situation.
dominated goal net shot took wind
I think just about everything they shot at the net went in and that was the problem. They took the wind out of our sails, when they scored that goal after we dominated the first period.
happy ugly
I was just happy to get the win. It was an ugly game.
exciting himself seems top
He just seems to top himself every week. He's an exciting player.
guys habit hard last matter nice night order played playing
Guys were playing with a lot of inspiration out there. It was nice to see. We've played better than our last five-game record. We know we have to play like this every night in order for us to have a chance. But you don't want to get into the habit of losing, no matter how hard you're working.
beginning earlier few hard hate last limits push sweet
We hate that team. I think it started at the beginning of the year. I'm not going to say they're dirty, but they push the limits in how hard they play. They spanked us a few times earlier in the year. It was sweet revenge. We got the last laugh.
games hungry league level position raise team teams thinking win
We're really in no position to say we're better than any other team in the league right now. There are some games that, on paper, you should win but those teams are just as hungry as we are and then they see us, they're probably thinking the same thing so they also raise their level of play a little.
good normally obviously rest saves starts supposed
I wasn't very good tonight, either. The first two goals, man, those are ones that I normally have ... so obviously it starts with the goalie and if the goalie isn't making the saves he's supposed to, how can you really say anything about the rest of the team?
played three
We played with him for three years so we all knew.
whatever
It was the same thing. Grahame didn't have it frozen, but he disallowed it for whatever reason. Just give me some consistency. That's a two-goal swing.
european fashion hit home ideas implement seemed tone trying
He's trying to implement some European fashion ideas here that just haven't seemed to hit home yet. We're trying to get him to tone it down a little bit.
against approach calls change game guys home last message reason road whether
I really hadn't thought about the road record. Personally, I approach every game the same whether we're at home or away. We have to get that message to the guys here in the room. There are some things that go against you on the road. They can make the last change and sometimes you don't get the calls on the road -- not that we get many calls anyway. There's a reason it's called home-ice advantage.
