I think everybody's intensity level just picked up. We started to rebound a little bit better. We ran our offense. We put pressure on them on defense, and everything just came together.

We don't usually do that before games. It was different, but I think it motivated everybody because we didn't look too well against them last year.

I think, for the most part, our coaches do a great job of teaching and we spend a lot of time on it in practice, at least a little bit of it every day so it stays with us. I think it shows we're a close team because we can count on each other and we know our teammates are going to be there on help side.

It definitely boosts (my confidence). To finally make a couple shots in games really felt good, just to play well overall, I?m happy with it.

I think Mel and I did a good job not allowing her to catch the ball, and when she did catch it not allowing her to see the basket to shoot. Mel tries to get physical with the person and frustrate them by bodying up. I just try to make the right reads and chase the screens and then I body up when I should.

I think Mel and I both did a good job trying not to let her catch it, and when she did catch it, just not letting her see the basket. In the second half, she sort of stopped going as hard ? no fault of her own ? but she was tired, I think, because we did such a good job on her.

She might have been just a little bit frustrated. That's something that this school prides itself on, shutting down the big players.

I feel really good about this. It gives me a comforting feeling knowing he wants me in the game. I've been shooting well in practice, but I just rush my shots when I get into the game. Obviously I haven't been scoring much. I think I was just more relaxed.

It was a whole team effort. We knew we wanted to chase her around the screens, and our post players did a great job of stepping up, so she didn't have time to get a lot of shots off. It prevented her from getting into a flow. That's really how you get it done.
ball boxed controlled gone stuff team tough
They were a really tough team and went after the ball hard, but we could have boxed them out better. We could have gone after the ball harder. It was stuff that we could have controlled that we didn't.
