glad good
Good for him. I'm glad to have him back.
baseball card worried
He made a little adjustment. No one in here is worried about that guy. All you have to do is look on the back of his baseball card and know that everything is going to be all right.
against both command extra nasty plate sides tonight tough using
His command of both sides of the plate was ridiculous. He really has a nasty cutter, and he was using it well against righties and lefties. He's tough enough as it is, and tonight he was extra tough.
ball dictate gives great hit huge left nice pitch players sign swinging
That's a huge sign for me, when I hit the ball out to left field. That gives me a lot of confidence. You just let the pitch dictate what you do. That's something you never see the great players do, over-swing -- I do that, I over-swing. Tonight, I didn't feel like I was swinging hard, just nice and easy.
couple seat top
I had so many things going through my head, ... To be able to come out on top is nice, being able to get a couple hits. Now she has a front-row seat at every game.
clutch excited form hits imagined opportunity
I never imagined this when the day started and I wasn't playing, ... I was excited to get the opportunity in that spot. We got so many clutch hits that we needed, especially form our big guys, Kotsay and Chavez.
baseball love
If you didn't love that game, you don't love baseball,
best curve fastball good pitcher seen sit
He's the best young pitcher I've seen this season. You couldn't sit on his fastball because he had such a good curve and a change. And his fastball moved. He was tough.
hurt leg typical
I don't know if his leg was hurt or not, ... All of a sudden, we were like, 'What's going on here?' But that's just typical A's baseball, you know?
moving tree rubber
Everyone knows an ant, can't, move a rubber tree plant.
spring oakland afternoon
It's been like that all spring. It's just that balls decided to hang up there. It's hard to catch it when you can't see it. But that's how it's going to be in Oakland in the afternoon anyway.
swings trying looks
I'm being a lot more consistent, trying to make every swing look the same. I'm doing what the situation calls for and trying not to do too much.
morning party thinking
I woke up this morning and I said to my self, 'Self, I think we need to party today'.
baseball card
All you have to do is look at the back of his baseball card and know he'll be all right.
