I've worked with Kirby and Bo and know the qualities they possess. They both have coached at successful major college programs, allowing them to make a smooth transition to the NFL. They are excellent teachers and will be positive additions to our staff.
Bobby's an outstanding person and as fine an assistant as we had at Michigan State, ... To be able to hire someone of his caliber, who also has knowledge and experience of your system -- it's almost like you didn't lose a coach because there's so much continuity.
Do we want to play him 75 plays in a game? Probably not, ... Do we want to play him in spots and spurts and see how he responds and reacts to it? It's almost like you would do in a preseason game -- six, eight plays, take him out for a few, put another guy in, give him six or eight more and see how he manages it.
It doesn't mean that just because we work somebody out that we have an issue. That is not something that anybody should assume. There are things called information gathering and we are allowed to use workouts of players who are not under contract to gather information about those players.
I wish there was some big, like, deal about what happened today. But Ricky's been coming here. He's been going to meetings every day. He's been allowed to work out every day. He just has not practiced with the team.

With such a demanding schedule, it's also important that we improve as the season progresses and develop the kind of team chemistry that will allow us to play winning football and finish strongly as we did last year.
There is somewhat of a difference, although we haven't seen Kelly play that much for them, especially in the regular (season) games, to know there would be a significant difference in game plan other than the fact that they move J.P. around a bit in the pocket.
We're not allowed to be frustrated around here. But we're very frustrated.
Just like in Scent of a Woman , you know, when the guy is up there and Al Pacino gives the speech to the headmaster -- give him a chance.
I’m not going to be the Alabama coach.
We tried to put ourselves in a position that that wouldn't be a factor for us right now.
We tried to create a little bit of an identity as a team today. I'm proud of the effort that we put in and the way we persevered and overcame adversity. The big thing that this team did today was they had a little tenacity, a little perseverance. And I think that's something you definitely need in this league relative to the competitive balance and what you have to do to win games.
We just want to continue to be able to let them develop and progress. We're not disappointed in anybody. We're actually encouraged by our ability to throw the ball with consistency in the game by all the quarterbacks.
