We believe that you should act like you expected to be there. Keith worked hard to get there and he always believed he would win the title, so when he did it wasn't a surprise.

We just had a good group of kids who bought into what we've been teaching for years. In the past you might have a few kids who were really serious, but we had a group that did everything it had to do to be a special team.
couple february job kids month state sure time tougher undefeated
We always try to make February tougher than the month of January. We have a couple of kids who are undefeated, and my job is to make sure they're not undefeated by the time they go into the State tournament. They have to be challenged. They have to know what it's like to be down 3-2 and have to come back late.

We feel that hopefully we're among the good teams now.

It isn't affecting wrestlers like Keith as much as it is the types of kids who could have gotten partial scholarships 20 years ago. With fewer schools and fewer scholarships you have kids who used to be able to get into college that just can't because of the numbers.
