The message from this budget is, not only is the federal government not going to be there for you, it's going to make matters worse for you and use you as an excuse to give tax cuts to the wealthiest.
This isn't about small government. This is about small-minded, petty government that does not meet the needs of the American people.
Closed government is not healthy for a democracy. Yet again, another example of closed government on the part of Republicans.
While we may argue about the size of government, the Republican Party has not been a party that says, 'I want to destroy government.'
