God is never late, but rarely early.
Where does love begin? In our own homes. When does it begin? When we pray together. The family that prays together stays together.
Every act of love is a work of peace no matter how small.
We must not drift away from the humble works, because these are the works nobody will do. It is never too small. We are so small we look at things in a small way. But God, being Almighty, sees everything great. Therefore, even if you write a letter for a blind man or you just go sit and listen, or you take the mail for him, or you visit somebody or bring a flower to somebody-small things-or wash clothes for somebody, or clean the house. Very humble work, that is where you and I must be. For there are many people who can do big things. But there are very few people who will do the small things.
Serve God joyfully. Let there be no sadness in your life: the only true sorrow is sin.
Peace begins with a smile-smile five times a day at someone you really don't want to smile at. Do it for Peace.
As Lent is the time for greater love, listen to Jesus' thirst...'Repen t and believe' Jesus tells us. What are we to repent? Our indifference, our hardness of heart. What are we to believe? Jesus thirsts even now, in your heart and in the poor -- He knows your weakness. He wants only your love, wants only the chance to love you.
We the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have done so much, with so little, for so long, we are now qualified to do anything, with nothing.
If you are discouraged it is a sign of pride, because it shows you trust in your own powers.
I am not called to be successful, I am called to be faithful.
If we were humble, nothing would change us-neither praise nor discouragement. If someone were to criticize us, we would not feel discouraged. If someone would praise us, we also would not feel proud.
I don't claim anything of the work. It is his work. I am like a little pencil in his hand. That is all. He does the thinking. He does the writing. The pencil has nothing to do with it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Love should be as natural as living and breathing.
