The team has looked pretty good. Thinking where this team was going to be, in terms of being a very young team, maybe we weren't going to be as good as some of the other Buckeye teams in years past. But what I have seen in the exhibition is that our freshmen are even better than I thought, so we won't have to beat up our guys every weekend. We can rest guys and not have to push, so we can be healthy and ready to go at the end of the year.

I'm a little disappointed with the effort tonight. This meet was a step back for us because we didn't look like a team in the running for a Big Ten championship. We have a lot of work to do this week in order to prepare for the championships.

It was a great year for the squad. We went undefeated in the Big Ten and won the Big Ten Championship. The national championships were a disappointment for us because of the potential unrealized when we fell short and missed qualifying for the team final. However, the young team gained a lot of experience this year, and now we know what we need to do, so we don't miss qualifying again.

It was a better meet than anything we did last year. I think that is a testament to the potential this team has and how far this team can go. It was good to see those high scores. They get the guys excited.

It was a very good meet. We (Ohio State and Oklahoma) definitely are the Top 2 teams in the country. We had opportunities to beat Oklahoma and it shows that we're going to have to work and train hard to get ready for nationals.

We battled back. To see them come back from the hole they were in is promising. I hope this is a testament to the character of the team and carries through to the end of the season. I am proud of their response and I think it comes from the captains' leadership.

As anticipated, we scored lower than in our first meets. We gave some of the younger guys experience and we weren't at full strength, but we will be ready for next week against two of the top teams in the country, Oklahoma and California.

It certainly wasn't a stellar competition or performance on our part. But the team rallied, never gave up, and we won by a point, which doesn't sound like much, but in gymnastics winning by a point is like 10 points in basketball.

The invitational was very competitive, as it usually is. This tournament had some of the best teams in the country, and we figured that Illinois and Michigan would be the two teams that challenged us the most. And as expected, they did.

Illinois is a good team. They are one of the toughest competitors in the Big Ten and nation. The Ohio State team has improved over the past two weeks. If we have an incredible improvement on pommel horse we will win this dual meet.

I am proud of how the team is improving each week. However, we didn't finish the meet tonight. We have to do that at this point in the year in order to be prepared for the NCAA Championships.
