brings everybody far goes good great guy invaluable people player type
He's a great player, that goes without saying. What most people don't know about him is the type of guy that he is and what he brings to our team. As far as his whole professionalism and his approach, he's been invaluable to our team. I think everybody realizes how good of a player he is.
action best commitment course faced group players puck simplify talented team
From my experience, when a team is faced with adversity, the best course of action is to simplify things. Our play away from the puck has to be a priority. We have a talented group of players here, but we have to make more of a commitment to team defense.
capable certainly close consistent exciting guys help last line mike people player players production realize rewarded successful team training valuable
Mike showed that he was a capable scorer last year. He's probably been our most consistent player from day one of training camp. He's one of those guys who is undervalued by people away from our team, but who the players and the people who are close to our team realize how valuable he is. He does all the little things out there that help a line be successful and help a team be successful. He's certainly getting rewarded for it from a production standpoint, which is exciting for him.
buy certainly difficult forcing great ice issue job middle players pressure relentless results shown team
I think the players are doing a great job of forcing the issue with their relentless pressure up the middle of the ice and I think when we play that way, we're a difficult team to play against. We certainly have shown that we can get results when we buy into it.
aspects best game players
I thought Bergeron was one of the best players on the ice, ... in all aspects of the game. There isn't any aspect of the game we can't use him.
coach credit gordon job players similar standpoint team terrific transition
I think it's a credit to the players themselves. And I think (coach) Scott Gordon does a terrific job with the team in Providence. We play similar ways, so from a tactical standpoint there's not a lot of difference. I think all of those things kind of make the transition a little more seamless.
asked certainly easy figures guys held player
He certainly held his own, and that's not an easy thing to do, to be asked as a young player to play with two guys like that and not be intimidated. He figures things out pretty fast.
bright career exciting player sure
He's an exciting player to watch. I think he's going to have a pretty bright career in this league. For as young as he is, he sure is dynamic.
against dynamic given great hands matter players plays three
All three are dynamic players and great 1-on-1 players. No matter who plays against them on any given night, they have their hands full.
chance charge critical job team understand
We have to do a better job controlling momentum. We have to understand those critical situations, and we have to take charge in those areas. It will give our team a better chance to win.
break game open
We had the opportunities to break the game open and we didn't.
certainly good scoring third
We certainly generated enough scoring chances, especially in the third period. On most nights, enough to win. Biron made some good stops, especially down the stretch.
definitely exciting helped matter pieces
Eli's going to be an outstanding quarterback, no matter what the setting. It's just exciting to see these pieces come together. It's definitely helped him develop, no question.
defense energy played reason stepped veterans
Our defense really stepped up. From our veterans to our young guys, they played with a lot of energy and they were a big reason for our success.
