bigger blow forth kid senior
There couldn't have been a bigger blow for a fifth-year senior and a kid who has put forth so much effort,
link seem special weak
They don't seem to have a weak link on their team, offensively, defensively or special teams,
athlete game great last rice special
This is going to be like the Rice game last year. Quentin Demps is going to make a play. He's a great athlete and he's got something special that allows him to make plays.
hard mixed
It was a mixed decision, and a hard one to make.
ahead ball move shot spring trying
We're trying to give him a shot on defense. He wanted to move over, which is great. It will put him a little ahead for spring ball if he is going to be a linebacker.
chance doubtful goal good playing tight
Sears is real doubtful for this week, and I don't know how long it's going to take (to heal), ... He is not going to have surgery, so that's a good thing. But we need Chamois in goal line, and we need him in the two tight end offense. I think he's going to have a better chance playing at linebacker eventually. But for right now, we need him at tight end.
good
One play was good enough for me. He can play.
damn good
(Only), he's such a damn good student, he doesn't have to go into coaching.
practices sitting
Those were spectacular catches. I want to see him out at 15 practices this spring, every one of them, all the way through. Then I'll tell you (where he stands). He showed what he can do. But he can't do that if he's sitting on the sidelines.
We'll see how it goes. He's not going to play this week. If he doesn't play by Monday, then it's probably serious. I don't think it's a tear.
defensive guys question step strength
(The defensive line) was a strength for us going into the season, now it's a real question mark. Guys (like Padilla) are going to have to step up and play.
ball good hands love
We love having the ball in his hands because good things always happen.
ask best good great guys line patience persistent pick tough traits
He's got great patience, he is a real good teacher, and he is the most persistent person I've ever been around, ... Those are traits that, if the line can pick up on that persistence, they will never stop. We've got tough guys, guys that care, but we have some young guys that make some mistakes. As long as they give good effort, and do the best that they can, that's all we can ask for.
looked running
He's just running around a little bit. He looked good, though.
