I'm definitely being spoiled, ... I hope we get a lot more ovations. I'm really honored. It's one of those fortunate things for me.
I've heard nothing but amazing things about the city of San Diego, and I am excited to finally have the opportunity to play there. I hope that I can help bring another division title back to San Diego, then continue on to a successful post-season run.
It's definitely swollen, ... This morning I woke up and it was really a lot more swollen and just really stiff. Hopefully the swelling goes down in a few days and we'll just take it from there.
It's just one of those things that is very frustrating. Obviously we're pressing a little, but this is the big leagues. There's no sympathy up here. You've got to pick yourself up and really bear down, do what you can, beg, borrow or steal to get on base. We just need a spark. Hopefully you get it out of the way now. Because it's going to be a long, hot summer.
I hope so, unless you know something I don't. Whatever I have left, I plan to give it all. I've got the rest of the season.
Hopefully it would come in a win, but what are you going to do? Personally it is a nice milestone, but it would have been a little sweeter if we were playing a little better baseball.
Yes, no question. If you would have asked me, I'm telling you, in San Francisco, there's no way I thought I'd be able to play. This week I'm a lot more optimistic.
I still think the division and league are wide open. It's not like the American League, with the Yankees and Boston, or Chicago, who are all extremely stacked.
I'm excited to at least finish the season, at least on he field, ... As far as speculation, obviously that's not my job. I'm really just interested in enjoying and finishing these last couple weeks here.
I'm feeling pretty good, ... I told them it's their call. I'm not trying to win a Purple Heart. But I probably can play.
It was like we were destined to win that game. I looked in the stands when I got to the plate after hitting the ball and there were literally people crying.
It's not as cold in April, not as humid in the summer.
It's not feeling any worse, but it's not feeling better,
Everyone is assuming that I'm not going to be here next year, but I've never said anything either way. I'm just going to finish as strong as I can and see what the options are.
