I thought all four guys wrestled real well. Lucas won some pretty good matches and he beat some pretty good kids. He's had a good year.

I've used Nick and Lucas as an example for the younger kids. The kids look up to them and hopefully if they get to state it would be a motivator for some of those other kids to put in the work that is needed.

The thing we can't do is give up pins. That's the one thing we cannot do. I don't care if you go out there, wrestle your hardest and lose, but that is the one thing that we cannot do.

We wrestled some pretty good matches. We've been talking about this and hoping we could get this one. But Appleton East was the better team. They really came after us.

When he goes out and wrestles like we know he can, he can beat a lot of people. He's been up and down so far this year and not real consistent. Obviously he came out today and wrestled like we know he can so hopefully that's the side of him that we see tomorrow.
coaching kids proud seeing staff time
As a coaching staff we're proud of the kids, seeing improvements out of the kids every time we wrestle.

It was just one of those things where we gave up too many pins again. It's a building process. I think the kids and coaches are realizing that. It's baby steps. We are getting better each week and start building for the future.
