ball ground looking
I got the ground ball I was looking for.
ball breaking coming fastball good looked pressure putting threw time trying
It looked like he was trying to feel for his breaking ball a little bit, that's what it looked like he threw in the dirt. Fastball was coming out good. Probably been putting a little pressure on himself, trying to do too much. First time out there, for any pitcher, it's the first time out there. You don't know what to expect. You're just trying to go out there and get a good feel for it, really.
ballpark definitely enjoying takes
We're doing everything it takes to win. I'm definitely enjoying going to the ballpark every day.
balls behind leaving seemed
I was leaving a lot of balls over the plate. I pretty much did what you don't want to do as a pitcher. It seemed like I was getting behind hitters, and when I did get ahead, I wasn't able to put them away.
arm balls curve feeling throw
I didn't throw any curve balls today. I didn't like the way my arm was feeling in warm-ups.
aim ball hard perfect strike threw throw trying worrying zone
I had been trying to aim the ball a bit. So I just threw as hard as I could. I wasn't worrying about trying to make a perfect pitch. I just wanted to throw it in the strike zone and give them a different speed. It was very effective.
best days games good hitting obviously past shut teams
I've been getting a lot of runs. This is just one game, ... Obviously the past two games we haven't scored any runs. But that's going to change. We've got a good offense. But there's going to be days where even the best hitting teams are going to get shut out.
picked runs scoring several
I've been getting a lot of runs. They've been scoring a lot of runs for me. They picked me up several times,
change fight knowing side win winning
I think one win can change things. That's all it takes. It was a big win tonight, a fight to the end. Tomorrow, everybody's going to come in knowing we're on the winning side of things.
confident experience
With all the experience he?s had as a manager, he?s confident in the way he does things.
talked together
We got together and talked some things out.
focus glad mentioned next
The 21-loss thing is probably always going to be mentioned next to my name, but I'm glad the focus is off of that.
challenge games happened lost managers whatever
For me, that's what I wanted to do. Sometimes managers won't let their players, for whatever reason. That's a challenge for him. For me, I'd already lost 20 games by this point. It happened well before the end of the year. It's not like I was down to one or two starts. It didn't come down to the wire.
home pitch wish
I wish I could pitch this well everywhere, ... especially at home this year.
