We're going to be a different team ... There's no question about it. Jacques was a great coach, but after eight years there was a good chance there was going to be a change. Things have been different around here.

I was pretty surprised. They felt they had to make their move now and free up some money. It's hard to replace Hossa and it's tough to see him go and he's a huge part of our team. But Dany is a great player and he'll add a lot to our team.

We were fairly calm early on, but we had some great chances. We didn't want to panic because you really get nowhere panicking when you are down like we were. We just stayed calm and stuck to our plan.

That sounds great and that's our plan. But we feel we have to improve from Game 1. We feel we can play much better than that. Playoff series are tough. Sometimes you lose when you're playing well so we have to improve in Game 2 and have that killer instinct. If we play the way we did in the third period we'll be fine.

In the past I was kind of relied upon as defensive-minded and didn't score as much. This year's been good. Bryan has shown a lot of confidence in me. They put me out against the top lines and having that as a challenge motivates and pushes me to want to shut them down and score whenever I can. And Peter has had a great year (career-high 20 goals). We've played together a lot. Both him and Marty are fast and skilled and pretty easy to play with.

We don't feel we're hitting all cylinders. We feel we can play much better. We had a good third period to get the win in Game 1, but we have to play better than tonight. Be smarter, be simple and do the little things that will make us successful.

The problem is you've basically got to start over. Because if you're on a wine list, or you're on a shelf and you can't supply, you lose your placement.

With the guys we're missing, that's the way we have to play. We had to tighten up defensively and we really did a good job on the penalty kills. That was the difference in the game.

We were good the first couple of times, we're just having some bad luck right now. I don't really have an explanation.
