both defense dictated ends great job offense
Defensively, we really showed up tonight. We did a great job at both ends of the floor. Our offense dictated our defense, and our defense was very solid.
came coming effort gave good great guys hold percent playing
I thought our guys came out and gave a good effort defensively tonight. These guys were playing great coming in and to hold them to 36 percent (shooting) is a good thing.
along execution great guys miss overtime played regulation
Our guys played great in overtime along with at the end of regulation to get back into it. We made them miss in overtime and our execution in overtime was tremendous.
against both certain change games great guy looking match opportunity stroke
I think it's a great opportunity for both players. We were looking for another dimension, a guy who could go out and stroke the ball. And this will give us an opportunity to play a different style, or change it up in certain games and match up better against certain teams.
ice water
He's got ice water in his veins. He just comes in and makes big plays.
ice knocks water
He's got ice water in his veins. He comes in and makes plays. We set it up for him and he knocks it down.
ball counteract open opposed position post quickness size speed turn
He's got to be able to show that he can counteract his (5-9) size with his speed and quickness, make plays, not turn the ball over and make open shots. And then, defensively, he has to use his speed and quickness to harass guys, make them use the clock, as opposed to getting in a position where the post him up.
coaching great knew staff
Our coaching staff did do a great job. We knew that play was coming.
continue explosive game good great outside shooting year
He's had a great year. His all-around game has improved. Offensively, he's got the low-post game. He's very explosive off the dribble. He's a good finisher. I think his outside shooting is getting better all the time. . . . He's so young, he'll continue to get better and better each year (in the playoffs) with experience.
fit talked ways
We talked about the ways we're going to use him and how he'll fit in,
attention games looked paying playing playoff season winning
I just looked at playing and winning games for us. We really shouldn't have been paying attention to (the playoff picture) all season long.
capable hit lucky position shot
If you put someone in position to hit a lucky shot and they're capable of doing it, it happens.
assume body chance last needed night practice ready totally
He's totally fine. We just didn't feel like last night we would take a chance and not have a body if we needed one. I assume he'll be ready for practice tomorrow.
bit blow fourth gave quarter start
He's just been on a roll. We gave him a blow to start the fourth quarter and he was chomping at the bit to get back in.
