Since I've been at Notre Dame, I've really tried to focus on the state, and thankfully we've had a lot of success with it. I love the kids in the state of Indiana. I think it starts with great high school coaches.

As of now, we're feeling pretty confident. I like that group. We've had better spacing on offense. But there's no rulebook saying we have to have a set lineup when we start Big East play.

You knew Dean was going to try to take a forced 3. We tried to steal one on the road, we had it right there, and that's when we needed to win it, right there. ... Louisville was fearless to put that game into overtime.

Who can stay together over two months is really a key thing. One thing we do have is solid guys, so when you get smacked and things aren't going good, you can rely on the character of these guys.

We do know where the ball should go. We're unselfish. Probably what we did tonight, too, was we had a good number of guys make shots. I think we're a good shooting team. I don't know if we've had this many guys flowing and shoot the ball well. Ã I'd like to see us carry it over Friday night.
