cape feeling
He tweaked a hamstring (in the first Test) in Cape Town, and he was just feeling the effects.
batting best break certainly days easy guys local looked morning three
We are always a bat-first team, but the local guys said we could break through on the first morning and that days two and three would be best for batting. Well, we didn't make the breakthrough and batting certainly looked easy today.
honest masters pressure umpires
To be blatantly honest I think they (Aussies) do put pressure on the umpires and they're masters at it.
achieve goals hoping
We didn't achieve those goals in Perth, so I'm hoping we do on day three.
bit expect helps select
When you select a spinner on a (pitch) that helps spin, you expect a little bit more than that.
both dominate follow good last matches previous session test
We have tended to dominate the last session of the first day of both previous Test matches and it's important that we follow this up now with a good first session tomorrow.
australia game guys plans played
We had game plans in Australia and the guys played him very well.
again borne bowlers brunt dropped fault hard tried wickets
We have borne the brunt again of a dropped catch. The bowlers toiled hard and I can't fault them for that. They tried to take wickets all the time.
happiness happy series win
We need to win the series (against New Zealand). I won't be happy if we don't.
bit consider cricket crisis definitely form happy home identity learn sent
We sent AB back home to learn some more about ODI cricket. He had a bit of an identity crisis in this form of the game. I'm happy to see how well he did and we will definitely consider him.
build normally rock
He's the rock around which we normally build our innings.
clearly lost roles tight unit
Before the injuries, we were a tight unit with the roles clearly defined. But once we lost players, all the roles had to change.
attack bit dried final guess looks quite
I guess the final poser will come down to do we play a four-man seam attack or do we play a spinner? It looks a little bit browner than it did yesterday. I think it has dried out quite nicely.
appealing good hit instructed obvious personal player problem spirit stand within
I've got no problem with that. It's within the spirit of the game. He thought it was an obvious deflection. There was a lot of appealing and histrionics going on and he hit it and walked. That's fine. I've never instructed a player to stand or walk, that's a personal preference. He hit it. Good catch. And off he went.
