baseman behind good green huge lead light playing since
Lew had the green light and I had a pretty good lead since the first baseman wasn't playing behind me. That jump-started things. That was huge for us.
add hard imagine itself playing rookie year
It's hard to imagine what he's been going through, to just get back out there and do what he's doing now. Being a rookie in itself is tough, and then to add in a whole year of not playing ...
bit came games hit home injury missed runs six spring three time
I mean, I only missed six games, that's nothing. Six games is not a substantial time at all. And then when I came back, I hit three home runs in three days, so I don't think anything has to do with the injury or the little bit of a setback in Spring Training.
competitor everybody wants
Everybody wants to play all the time, and I'm no exception. I want to be out there every day as a competitor and a player. Unfortunately, that's not how it's been. I'm not complaining but at the same time, it's not something I particularly enjoy.
celebrated won
It was huge. By the way we celebrated on the field, it was about like we won the World Series.
excited ready spring training
I'm excited to get it done. Now we can just concentrate on spring training and getting better and getting ready for the season.
behind build character confidence definitely giving helps matter nice regular win
No matter if it's a come from behind win or a regular win. It's nice to have to build our confidence and build character in the clubhouse. It definitely helps the team. We're not giving up on each other.
last week won
We won one last week like this, so we'll try to do it again.
everybody obviously paper reading regards spring training trying wall win
I've been reading the paper like everybody else, and the writing's obviously on the wall in regards to me being in the outfield. I'm going to spring training trying to win right field. Apparently.
care win
A win is a win in our book, and we don't care how we do it.
foresee next
I don't foresee this going into next week.
either lines past played week
Obviously, the past week I haven't played at all in right field, so you know you can take that for what it's worth. Nothing has been said either way, but you read between the lines and that's what's out there.
certain deal dealing easy guys
It's frustrating. It's tough. It's not easy to deal with. Certain guys deal with it in certain ways. That was probably his way of dealing with it.
foresee next taking
It's nothing that I see taking a long time. I don't foresee it going into next week.
