armstrong artistic believe bringing concert exercise experience good great highest jazz level louis magic mother music musical nature performance performs privilege quote regularly tends together truly types unique wonders
I have always favored a mix. I don't believe in segregating music into categories. I think that exercise tends to be very arbitrary. I like to quote the jazz great Louis Armstrong on the subject: 'There are only two types of music, good and bad. I play good music.' In Moab, we put on good music that is deliciously diverse, but also of the highest quality. Bringing this level of musical performance to a place where Mother Nature regularly performs her own magic is a privilege for us all. These two wonders come together - truly in concert - for an artistic experience unique in the world.
career game great helped
I feel for him. He's had a great career and unfortunately with the way the game has gone, let's be truthful, it hasn't helped him in any regard. I feel for him in that way, too.
approach best chance clean found group hit hitting michael might point rest riding study took translate
For me, the best thing was being around Michael Young more than anybody. I got a chance to hit in his group and study the way he hits. I don't know how it will translate the rest of the season, but from that point on when I was hitting with him, I took that approach to keep everything crisp and clean and sharp, and things started working a little bit. Who knows, I might have found something. I'm going to keep riding it out as long as it works.
coming great pitches role time tough trouble
He just had a tough time getting pitches where he wanted them and too many walks. It's really tough to spot-start. He's in a tough role right now and was coming off a great game. He's had trouble locating his stuff.
blessed divine family held high royal seed seen
He is the blessed seed of the Messiah. He wouldn't be seen as divine as Haile Selassie, but as being of his family tree. The royal family is held in high esteem.
chance found might rest riding study translate
I got a chance to study the way he hits. I don't know how it's going to translate into the rest of the season. Who knows, I might have found something. I'm going to keep riding it out as long as it works.
gave tremendous
He had a tremendous career. He gave a lot to this organization and the organization gave a lot to him.
great job settling
He did a great job of settling down.
patrol return run
He's not able to return as a patrol officer, because he still has weakness. He wouldn't be able to run after and apprehend a suspect.
ball believe close great johnny sudden
I couldn't believe it was going to be a close play, and all of sudden he (catcher Johnny Estrada) had the ball before I even started sliding. It was a great play on their part.
confused conviction faster figure giving good guys learn pitches process push versus
I really push having conviction in pitches that you throw, versus the selection. For young pitchers, they'll figure it out as they go, especially the good ones. Over years of learning, I can't keep giving them information. They have to learn to process it themselves. Some guys learn faster than others, and some guys don't learn at all. Things can get confused if I try to do too much.
ball base flying job maybe partly running second stop
I couldn't get the ball to second base like I wanted to. It's partly my job to stop the running game. Maybe I'm tipping off something in my setup. I have to keep them from flying all over the place.
baseball believe change hard home increase
I don't think the baseball was ever changed. It's hard for me to believe they could change the baseball to increase home runs.
baseball clear event math runs
I'm just a baseball player; I'm not a math major. I'm still not real clear on it. In the event of a three-way tie, it comes down to runs scored, I believe.
