My goal freshman year was to be able to travel with the team. I achieved that, and breaking my hand was sort of a blessing in disguise, because it allowed me to play four full years of baseball.

If something goes wrong in an at-bat, you can't worry about the past. I go up there thinking that no one can beat me. Just know that the pitcher isn't going to beat you every at-bat. In baseball, you can fail 70 percent of the time and that means you're a great hitter.
