beat club clubs deal people played problems seen similar sort teams
You've seen the way the club played at the end of the year. A lot of other clubs with similar problems that we had and that sort of thing, the individuals he has to deal with here, a lot of other teams would have collapsed. A lot of people think we collapsed; we just got beat by a better team.
almost assume bad bothered close control fired higher lost nerve obviously seen words
Nobody's ever had the nerve to say to me, 'You stink' or you had a bad year. ... But I've seen it in the papers. Not in those words ... but that obviously comes from higher up. That's out of my control and that hasn't bothered me, but unfortunately it bothered, uh, I still (think) it's (why) we lost Zimmer. After all, I almost got fired in the midseason. I don't know (how close it was). I only know what was said and (written), but I would assume it was probably pretty close.
happiness leave leaving sound
I'm leaving happy. It may not sound like I am. Zimmer didn't leave happy. In that sense it's much different.
bottom chance rotation
The bottom end of our rotation has a chance to be tremendous.
conscious great hard kept mean running stolen worked
They worked real hard at that. Jorge Posada does a great job. It's been a two-way thing. (The pitchers) are very conscious of their running game. It doesn't mean they're not going to get stolen bases, but we've kept them from running wild.

conversation minutes sit understand
Nothing I would like more than (to) sit down 30 minutes for a conversation with him. He'd probably understand how I feel. That won't happen.
depending forth until
I'm not going to say anything until the end, but I've made my decision. And I'm not going to teeter back and forth depending on how we finish. I know what I'm going to do.
giving options percent time until
I'm not giving you anything that's 100 percent until after the season, when I have time to really think about it. There are some options out there.
manager
I laughed, ... My first thought was 'What about Joe?' To congratulate the other team's manager and not Joe?
laugh laughter
I'm over that. It did for a while. I laugh at that, too.
good problem
I have no problem with George, ... He's been very good to me.
sure
I'm not sure I'm going to retire, ... there are other options.
sure
I'm not sure I'm going to retire. That's all I can say. But there's another part of that.
