We try to shorten the growing season by planting some 104-105-day hybrids that help us save two weeks of irrigation. That's a savings of $10-20/acre. I'm glad seed companies are looking at developing more drought-tolerant hybrids as well as shorter-season corn.

If we do this it means 100 players every week would not get a game and I think that would be a backward step.
compete conference health invited lauren nurse ready
Right now it's more important to have Lauren for the Conference Championships than to have her compete in the multi-events at Drake. It's unfortunate that she was invited to compete in the event, but we need to do what we can to nurse her back to health and have her ready to go in two weeks.
