blocking chances create creating explain finishing jumping score seem shots
We seem to be creating a lot of odd-man rushes. We're killing a penalty, but we seem to be jumping into the play and doing things like blocking shots to create a 2-on-1. We seem to be able to score and we're finishing those chances and I can't really explain why.
advantage fortunate
I was pretty fortunate to get a giveaway by their goalie to take advantage of.
best far felt growing knocked maybe notice obviously people puck stronger three turning ways
Maybe people don't notice it but I feel stronger out there. I'm not getting knocked off the puck as much. Obviously I still have a ways to go as far as growing and getting stronger but confidence-wise, I'd say this is the best I've felt in my three years (since turning pro).
When you go down like that, it sucks.
beat confidence games owe prove seven taken
We owe those guys. They've taken seven games from us this year. We want to prove to them that we can beat them. If we do that and we have the confidence to do that we'll show that if we get into the playoffs, look out, we can beat anybody.
early foot games ourselves penalties shot
We can't take penalties early in the games if we're not going to be able to kill them. We shot ourselves in the foot tonight.
turn
It's frustrating. It's not fun, but we can't get down on ourselves. We have to turn this thing around somehow.
crafty kyle
Kyle is a lot more crafty than we are, so he should go in the middle.
came easily gone lucky
It could easily have gone the other way. We're just lucky our power-play came through again.
against ottawa played season
If we played all season against Ottawa like we did tonight, it would have been a different story.
best fact puck
Mats is our best player, in fact he's a world-class player. When you get on an odd-man rush, you know he's going to get the puck to you.
involved natural position
This is my natural position and I feel I'm a lot more involved in the play.
alex bat clicked training
Alex and I clicked right off the bat in training camp, so it's no surprise.
beat couple days eighth hopefully hot last maybe next nice pro reach since sneak wins
The last two weeks, I think I've been as hot as ever since I've been in pro hockey. It's nice to reach that total. Hopefully I can beat it in the next couple of days and, in doing so, get us some more wins and maybe sneak into that eighth spot.
