We were struggling. We were just bad, a bad football team in Coach Carroll's first year.
Who knows what can happen? I watched a lot of (Texas') games during the season, and Vince is just a freakish athlete. He's big and fast, and those are hard to find. He showed what he's capable of doing. I think highly of him and wish him all the best.
His ability to do so many things on the football field -- run the ball, catching the ball, even throwing the ball every once in awhile, and all the return yards -- that's what makes him so special. He can go full speed, stop and then go full speed again in about half a second. It's amazing.
I knew I was going to get third. I wanted to go on stage as a past winner because I knew I wasn't going to win. The right guy won.
I'm just a winner. I'm a Tom Brady type. He's a winner.
It's been perfect so far. I couldn't ask for anything more.
This defense is one of the best we're going to see, probably, if not the best.
Personally, I'd go. I'd go to the NFL.
I've never even gone on that site. It's a cool idea, but I don't want to put myself out there.
Right now we're right where I hoped we were going to be when I made my decision. But I feel like this has been the best time of my life, these last four or five years, and Wednesday is kind of the culmination.
You saw that with Fresno State, who after us completely went downhill, and that's a really good football team. And that's a perfect example of really giving us their best shot and giving everything they can to beat USC, and then they don't have enough to beat (Louisiana) Tech and Nevada, teams that they should beat by 20, 30 points. That's why what we've done is so special.
