best car near run running whatever
We couldn't near run whatever the No. 9 was running at the end, and that was the best we had our car all day.
along best cars competing continues crew fact good great hopefully leading mean pick pit point running season team victories week wins
Obviously, leading at this point in the season doesn't mean that much. But, the fact that this 17 team is competing for wins each week does. The cars have been great and our pit crew continues to be the best out there. It's a long season, but hopefully we can keep running this good and pick up some victories along the way.
basically car hurts regard run time track
It never hurts to get track time at the same track in basically the same car (with regard to bodywork and chassis setup) that you're going to run all week.
car fast feels knew lane performance victory
Our performance has been better and you knew we had a fast car when we're on the pole. This feels great. I haven't been in Victory Lane in a long time.
car drivers excuse fence front fun good lap line passing race rear run track white
The most fun track we race on may be at Atlanta. You can run the white line or you can have the right rear scraping the fence and probably run the same lap times, so you never have an excuse for not passing a car in front of you. There are a lot of good grooves at Atlanta. It's a good race for the drivers and good fun for the fans.
car compared drove happy speeds
Compared to the competition, I was pretty happy with the car the way it drove and what our speeds were.
car safety precaution
God's more in control than we are. Obviously you still take all the precautions and safety measures inside your car.
moving makeup car
The makeup of the drivers has changed a lot with so many young drivers coming and a lot of the legends moving on. Compared to when I started, it's gone through a lot of changes. The cars have changed a lot and the approach to racing. There are a lot more employees. It's become a much bigger business and more corporate.
blame hope night saw sunday talked upset
You always hope it's over. I saw him Sunday night after the race. We talked about it a little bit. I don't blame him for being upset. I'd have been upset too.
accident finish hard known mean taken
That was my fault, it was an accident and I didn't mean to do it. I would be hot, too. He raced hard all day long for his third-place finish and it got taken away from him. I probably should have known better than to go over him.
cheap fair hard mark martin race shot spot taken worked
I worked hard for that spot all day, and I didn't think I should have got a cheap shot taken at me at the end of a race like that. I always try to think, 'Would Mark Martin have done that?' If Mark would have done it, then it probably was a fair move. If Mark wouldn't, then it probably wasn't.
caught eight tires
I don't think I could have caught him on eight tires he was going so fast.
against fair million sitting whatever
I don't think it is fair to have that $10 million or whatever sitting there against the (salary) cap. I don't think that is fair.
hope mad messed reason
I didn't have any reason to be mad at him. I just apologized. I messed up. I'd be mad if was him, too. So I hope everything is OK.
