against effort florida great job moved north trapped
We did an outstanding job of controlling the ball. Offensively, we moved it around effectively and efficiently against their zone. Defensively, we trapped and got North Florida out their rhythm. That was a great effort by our team.
best days digest experience great hopefully johnson mature three understand visualize
They don't know what a great experience they can have in Johnson City. It can be the best three days of their life. They have to be mature enough to digest that and then hopefully understand it, visualize it and want it as much as we do.
family florida great job leaving opportunity work written
Leaving Florida was hard. At first I didn't want to leave, at first I didn't want to look at another job because we have a lot of work to do there yet...but this was an opportunity here for me professionally and for my family was that was just a great fit. It had 'Matt Doherty' written all over it.
definitely great guard pass point
He'll definitely be a part of our team. He's a quick-as-lightning point guard who can pass and shoot. He's also got a great feel for the game.
hopefully league smarter
We've got be smarter and hopefully we'll be smarter when we get into league play.
point true unfair
We really don't have a true point guard. It's kind of unfair to put him in that position.
ethic good hardest players rodney tough work
Rodney is a tough kid. He really has a good work ethic and is one of the hardest working players I've been around.
execute half maybe tried
I was very disappointed in the first half with the way we played. We were not sharp. Maybe I tried to get them too jacked up. Maybe we were too aggressive. We didn't execute well.
attend concern paul philly rally
It doesn't rally concern us, because he didn't attend Philly Lutheran. Paul had already graduated.
hanging hit jordan michael occur office people pictures players taking until
It didn't really occur to me until yesterday. I was hanging some pictures in my office and there was one of Michael Jordan taking that shot, and I told one of my players how there were 63,000 people at the Superdome that day and that's when it hit me.

ball care easy free good gordon picking points safety
Stetson scored 23 points off turnovers. We have to take care of the ball and take good shots. We have to make the easy play because Gordon sits back there like a free safety picking off passes.
cut entire heads hung moral point proud season
I was proud of the way we cut the lead. We could have hung our heads and it could have been a 20- or 25-point loss. It's not a moral victory, but at this point you have to look at the entire season and I'm proud of those guys.
accomplish burns challenge emotions exciting fire group high highs impact low men moves remember spend time titans together tv watching year
I think so. This year I want to spend time with my family, do some TV and see where the fire burns after the season. I was watching Remember the Titans the other day, and it made me think about the emotions you go through. There's nothing that moves you emotionally like coaching. You have high highs and low lows, and to be able to have an impact on young people, to get a group of young men together and accomplish a goal, that is a real exciting challenge for me. You don't get that in any other profession.
