hopefully league smarter
We've got be smarter and hopefully we'll be smarter when we get into league play.
care effort harder played took
We played better, we played harder and took better care of the ball, I thought our effort was pretty good.
amount certainly exposure fan helps interest sell
We have to sell our program. The amount of exposure certainly helps. It helps fan interest and recruiting.
against anyone chance conference everybody good hottest last operating team win
We have to play the hottest team in the conference and we didn't play particularly well against them last time. Stetson has as good of a chance as anyone to win this thing. We need everybody operating on all cylinders.
experience
We are the hunted, and that is a new experience for our guys.
ball break bring good helping men shoot stop team
We had our (big) men helping bring the ball up. So, if we were able to break the press, we had good scorers who were able to stop and shoot on the other end. This team is getting smarter, and we know who should take (the shots).
build heading hope march momentum needed switch turned wake
We needed to build momentum heading into the tournament. We couldn't just wake up March 2 and hope that switch is turned on.
asked basketball care embraced himself playing taking talk worked
He's so unselfish. He has really embraced the things we talk about with. He's worked on taking care of the basketball and playing defense. He's asked himself to do everything I've asked him to do.
attitude kick lack proud quite since
I didn't know if he had it in him, quite frankly. I didn't know if he was going to quit or if we were going to have to kick him off the team. Sometimes there was a lack of effort, and his attitude wasn't the best, but he's come a long way since then and I'm proud of him.
adapt advantage commands guy occurs says team
He's the only guy on the team that really commands a double-team. ... That says something about a freshman. Now we have to be able to adapt when that occurs to take advantage of the double-team.
job
I look at this as a destination job. I didn't want to take a job to take another job.
ball basket game perform throw
I'm disappointed. We just didn't perform very well and we couldn't throw the ball in the ocean. ... When you know it's one game and you're done, the basket can look a little small.
build energy hope playing
I hope we build on this. If we play with that kind of energy and lose, I can live with that. But we haven't been playing with that kind of energy.
kindness mall wife
In a way it's kind of nice. I can go to the mall with my wife and not be recognized.
