best days digest experience great hopefully johnson mature three understand visualize
They don't know what a great experience they can have in Johnson City. It can be the best three days of their life. They have to be mature enough to digest that and then hopefully understand it, visualize it and want it as much as we do.
adolescent adult infant revert stage team
A team is like a child. First it's the infant stage then the adolescent stage. I think we're in the adult stage. Hopefully, we don't revert back to the adolescence stage.
react
The big thing is how we react to this. This was our first real setback.
lost pleased
I was disappointed we lost but pleased we didn't quit.
played
I was disappointed the way we played in the first half. We have to play smarter.
effort
I thought the effort was there, but we just weren't making our shots.
accomplish burns challenge emotions exciting fire group high highs impact low men moves remember spend time titans together tv watching year
I think so. This year I want to spend time with my family, do some TV and see where the fire burns after the season. I was watching Remember the Titans the other day, and it made me think about the emotions you go through. There's nothing that moves you emotionally like coaching. You have high highs and low lows, and to be able to have an impact on young people, to get a group of young men together and accomplish a goal, that is a real exciting challenge for me. You don't get that in any other profession.
best hurts
I think it hurts because Brent is our best defender.
ethic good hardest players rodney tough work
Rodney is a tough kid. He really has a good work ethic and is one of the hardest working players I've been around.
attitude concentration level needs sustain
He's come so far, but he reverted today. He needs to be able to sustain a level of concentration and an attitude that is representative of what we want at FAU.
defense game gotten player shooting won
He has gotten better at defense, and his shooting has improved. If any one player won the game for us, it was him.
natural players
(Harris) may be one of the quickest players I have coached. He's a natural leader.
handled might minor next rule start team violation
He had a minor violation of a team rule so he didn't start. He handled it great.... I might not start him next game.
definitely great guard pass point
He'll definitely be a part of our team. He's a quick-as-lightning point guard who can pass and shoot. He's also got a great feel for the game.
