concerned doubt games good home league playing recognize stepping teams win
I think you have to win your home games in this league. I think this win establishes us as a good team. I only want to be concerned with stepping forward, playing better and getting contributions. I think the other teams in the league recognize it. ... Should we have some more wins, no doubt about it.
forget halftime played playing runs score second team teams
We played as well as we could play in the first half. I said to this team at halftime this is really about us going out and playing a better second half. Forget about the score and try to put it away and not let teams make runs on you like they have.
college great happy kids late playing rather record sleep
We don't have a great record playing in the afternoon, so I'm happy we have a late start. The kids like it, too. They would rather play late at night. College kids like to sleep in.
approach ball easy eye foul james marvelous next player playing propensity stay trouble turn
I never know from game-to-game if James is going to stay out of foul trouble or make easy shots. He has a propensity to turn the ball over. I never know from game-to-game where James is this year. Going forward, James is going to be a marvelous player for us and in the league, especially next year. But this year, I keep an eye on how he's playing and what his approach is.
against game games home last league lost played resilient saint three tough win
Every game in this league is a battle. We've had some tough losses. We played well enough against Saint Peter's, Loyola and Iona at home to win the game. Those were three games we lost in the last 35 seconds. We're a resilient group.
good people point stop surprised
At some point people are going to stop being surprised by Jared. He's a pretty good player.
developing floor guard guy harder move myriad ryan score situations skills
We move him around the floor and put him in a lot of situations where he could score in a myriad of ways. I think it's harder to guard a guy like Ryan when he is developing his skills and he's never in the same place on consecutive possessions.
again defensive difficult talked team
We talked to this team over and over again about defensive intensity. They made some very difficult shots.
couple finally floor game habits last practice realized season spring terms
We had some disagreements last season about how I thought the game should be played, and really about practice habits and such. In the spring we had a couple conversations, one on one, and I think he finally realized that he had to put more into everything in terms of being on the floor with the team.
defend liberty plays post rebound run
Liberty plays so hard. They run hard, they rebound hard, they post defend hard. If you have poise, you give yourself a better chance.
communication helped skills team
I think his effort, his communication skills and his willingness to do all the little things has really helped our team immeasurably.
college continues proud teammate terrific year
Really, the thing I'm most proud about is, he continues to get better each year that he's been in college. He's a terrific kid, but he's a better teammate for our program.

I think we just played the most talented team in the league on perhaps their best night of the year. I'm really proud of our effort.
