brady brings cases certainly confidence defense doubt field football game gang guy hope kicking offense overlook position talks team tom
Everyone talks about the confidence Tom Brady has in what he does and I don't doubt that. But let's not overlook the confidence that he brings to every other guy on that football team on offense or defense or the kicking game - 'let's get the ball back; let's get field position because Tom can do it.' He is certainly not a one-man gang there, but to me, the one thing a quarterback can bring is hope and certainly he not only brings you hope, but in most cases if you give him an opportunity, he will get it done.
balance cases chance chipping determination determined four looking number outcome plays position talent three trying turn win
When I was playing, it was 10 or 12 plays that determined the outcome of a game. Now, because of the balance of talent in the league, it's come down to three or four plays a game. All you're looking for is to be in a position where you have a chance to win at the end. We haven't been able to do that, in a number of cases but we just keep chipping at it, trying to find a way to turn that corner.
case complete football good player talk
I think you could make a case that he is as good of a player as there is in football today. And I say that without any reservation. You talk about a complete player that can do everything.
attempt decision man question sure tough ultimate
I know the young man, and he's tough kid, a tough-minded person. So, you know, I'm sure the ultimate decision will be if he can make it significantly worse. I don't have any question he'll make every attempt to play, because he is a tough kid.
best continues decision drew stand ultimate
I know where I stand on it. If Drew continues to play well, and we continue to be successful, I don't know how you can do anything but keep him. The ultimate decision must be made on who's the best player.
approach best game
The best way I could characterize it is we will approach it like it's the first game of the year.
affect again proved time
They've proved time and again it doesn't affect them.
counting enjoying
I'm not counting them anymore, but I am enjoying them.
city kansas played
I have no idea. We played them a lot. I was in Kansas City for a long time. Played them some in Cleveland.
good
It was not a good enough job. The numbers, 9-7, to me are not acceptable. You need to do better than that.
ball ends factor field game history losing major opponent quite short single throughout turn winning
It was a game that ends up like most if you turn the ball over. You give the ball to the opponent on a short field and that is the one single thing that throughout the history of this game has always been the major factor in winning or losing games. We're quite disappointed.
both business difficult experience football good hard men tough valuable wished work
At times this can be a difficult business and we have to make tough decisions. These are good football men with valuable experience in this league. I thanked them for their hard work and wished them both well.
area defense fact pleasing special teams
The fact that we were represented in each area offense, defense and special teams that's very, very pleasing not only to myself and to the organization but to our players.
aspect city ended extremely kansas played short
We were out-played. Kansas City I thought played extremely well in every aspect and we ended up on the short end of it.
