against competition good obviously playoffs prefer qualify ready season simply tested year
I think very simply stated, qualify for the playoffs against that competition and you are ready for the playoffs, because you have been tested by fire. I prefer to play that, because you've obviously had a good season the year before.
efficiency emotion lost momentum offensive regardless side stopped true
I think two things happened. We kind of lost our efficiency on the offensive side of the ball. With Denver, you're going to have to play them for 60 minutes, regardless of where you play, but that's particularly true when you play in Denver. They got the emotion and momentum going and we couldn't get them stopped there at the end when we had to.
family obviously prayers reasonably thoughts
He said his family is doing reasonably well considering the circumstances. Our thoughts and prayers are obviously with him.
anybody believe blessed ethic finest gone greatest record remarkable running seen single skill terrific work
He's a remarkable combination of terrific skill blessed by God, a work ethic unparalleled by anybody I've been around. And his single greatest asset, in my opinion, is his pride. I've gone on record before, and I believe this, that he's the finest running back that I've seen in football.
barry category great hard quickness reminds runner
He's got great stop-and-start quickness. As a runner he's hard to find. I'm not going to put him in his category but skill-wise he's like Barry Sanders. His stop-and-start quickness reminds me of that.
diligent issue line offensive opportunity quick quite skill spent time tremendous work
He's got a tremendous opportunity and quite a challenge. But work has never been an issue for him. . . . He's been a diligent worker. He's been a quick study. He's spent a lot of time with the offensive line as well as the skill people.

His ribs were bothering him, but I don't think it will be a major setback. It just bothered him a little bit.

He's a terrific guy. He worked as hard as anybody. But the approach, the philosophy, were different.

Pittsburgh will send anybody at you at any given time. They're going to come after you. You just have to prepare and be disciplined.

Our offensive line is not giving him a lot of space.

I always like to bring them down (to Qualcomm) to get some work in before the night games. We don't want them to get too caught up in everything when they get out here Sunday night, so this is a nice way to do things.
