I'm proud of my guys for battling. They came out of the locker room in the second half and actually thought they could win the game. To even tie the game at the end of the quarter was a big accomplishment I wished we could have finished it off.
early emotion good guys knew played struggle
It was good for all of us to get back together, and we played well. We knew we would struggle some early after being off for more than a week, but our guys played with emotion and passion.
defend hard match monster size
They're a two-headed monster there. They're hard to defend when you don't have the size to match them.
hurting learned resilient
They're a little more resilient than I am. I'm still kind of hurting a little bit, but I think we've learned from it.
exceeded group guys happy position weird year
This group has kind of exceeded expectations all year long. It's just kind of weird to be back in this position again. I'm just happy for these guys because they've been through a lot.
basketball closeness help helped pick students
The closeness our students have helped us to pick each other up. It's more than just basketball, but everyone has been there to help out.
