You've just got to be honest with yourself and decide where you're at and where you want to be,
There's a lot of football to be played, but we can't let this snowball. We've got to correct some things now.
Coach Martz and me, we've shared some great times, some all-time highs. But we're all realists. We understand the situation.
This is a business and you've got to understand that. I always speak in business terms in this game and I learned that when I was young.
I think it's unfair to even speculate on any decision because I haven't made one. Honestly, I haven't given any thought to that.
People are going into survivor mode. They are calling it looting and I'm saying it's surviving,
I think that sometimes the whole upbringing thing, people want to make a story out of it,
I think that in a sense you just have to be honest with yourself and what you can and can't do and understand what you want to get out of this game and what you want to do. And I want to win. My personal accomplishments aren't as important to me; winning is. I think the combination of myself and Steven gives us, as a team, a better opportunity to win. With the work that he's going to put in, he deserves to be the starter.
Our relationship is really good. It's positive. There's no strains in it. And I foresee it being the same way as we go on. Coach (Martz) has done a good job of letting us know our roles so it's fairly simple and there's no complications.
What do you do? What are you supposed to do?
What makes me laugh is how people are saying he let his team down, ... How many times does a coach get rid of a player right before the season, and that player is left with nothing? Players want to know, How come you got rid of guys who could have helped us, over and over? That's letting your team down.
Some of us have been here before, and some of us haven't. And the guys who have, we've got to take responsibility for the other guys who haven't and let them know it doesn't stop here.
If you're from here, and you watch it on TV, and you can do something about it, you're going to.
I couldn't tell what part was which and I'm growing up down there and it's not a big city, so I'm pretty familiar with it all, ... With all the water you just couldn't tell parts apart.
