good happens job stepping
That happens every once in a while. Will did a pretty good job stepping in (and starting).
challenge front stepped
We were a real experienced, old team, everyone was a senior, and he stepped in and never was intimidated. Brooks, when he has a challenge in front of him, he usually comes through. He's a winner.
sync
When we're in a rhythm, we're very effective. But we were very out of sync today.
change coming everybody excited feels huge sitting time waiting
There's been so much change in what we're doing here there hasn't been much time to think about it. I don't know what it's been like for everyone, but it's not like we've been sitting around waiting for Brett to make a decision. In some respect, everyone feels better now that he's coming back. If he retired, it wouldn't have come as a huge shock. Everybody is pretty excited he's coming back.
anywhere beat close earth good realize team thinking
You still realize you're 1-4 (and) you're not anywhere close to where you need to be. You also have to look at the big picture. That's the good thing about this team - nobody's overconfident, thinking we're world-beaters. But now, we're also not thinking that we're the scum of the earth and we can't beat anybody.
great mistakes shot stuck stupidity tough win
Stupidity and mistakes aside, I think we had a great shot at winning. We're stuck in a really tough spot. You need a win, you want a win and we just didn't do it.
care examine playing worry
I think you have to take care of your own job, really worry about yourself and really examine how you're playing individually. You have to be a leader; you have to do things the right way.
bit coached copied crazy football good great job knows position putting question schemes time tune
I think 'Beck' coached the same way this year. One thing about 'Beck', you know he's a little bit crazy from time to time and there are some times when you have to kind of tune him out. But he knows what he's doing. His schemes have been copied all around the league. He's done a great job putting us in position to win. There's no question he's a good football coach.
caused coming concern felt mind obviously personnel season speak standpoint taking
He's got the right to speak his mind. He's got the right to say what he's got to say. We're coming off a 4-12 season and from a personnel standpoint there hasn't been a big change. Obviously it's caused some concern on his part what we have done. But no one has felt he was taking it out on them.
fix
We can fix it. If we don't get it corrected, we're going to have a long year.
effective moved reason red whatever
Whatever the reason, we have not been effective polishing it off and getting it done in the red zone. We moved the ball, but not to where we wanted to.
advice decision good great job obviously quit turned whatever
Whatever advice he got when he was going to quit that turned him around turned out to be pretty good advice. He obviously made a pretty good decision to keep playing. He's done a great job up to this point.
hang hat
I just don't think there's a play we can hang our hat on yet,
dealt difficult emotional loss point six
In the six years that I've been here, just from an emotional point of view, this is probably the most difficult loss I've dealt with,
