We just want the guys to be around them. We're going to let them coach. For that team to go 15-0 is a heck of feat and there had to be something special about that group. We're glad that they'll share some of that with this team.

We were more crisp on our routes and catches than any practice yet. That is two Saturdays in a row these guys have been out late and we haven't had any problems. I'm proud of the effort and focus they've had.

I am especially honored that I get to coach on the other side of a guy I really respect. He is one of the coaches that as a young coach you look up to. He has done a fantastic job and they are a very well-coached team. We will have our hands full on Saturday.

I have four good-looking young men up here that we are counting on big things from. As well as the rest of our senior class, those guys have done a great job so far.

We felt it was in our best interest to go with the guy who had the most recall to where Larry Kueck, our offensive coordinator, could get him on the side and say, 'Hey, Jimmy, you know, we're getting this, this and this,' and Jimmy would have some recall from past years. Bernie will definitely play, though.

We don't know exactly what they're going to do. If they stay with what they've been doing, Bernie will be fine. If they don't, then we felt that Jimmy would be our guy to start with so that we'd have some recall. Once the game starts, we'll see what they do and kind of adjust from there.

A lot of our players have been down there to play. I'm sure the guys will be excited to go down where they've had success.

I'm so proud of the guys because we learned a lesson today. We didn't turn the ball over and we got a win. That's a start. That's heading down the path that we were talking about.

Come fall, if someone gets hurt at (weak side linebacker) is it better to put in a freshman, or move another guy over with experience and move someone up from (the middle), where we have depth? It's two-fold. We're creating depth and Matt becomes a better player.

We try to take a day to work on ourselves and some on UCF and we had a good practice. Right now, I'm just concentrating on Marshall, whether they win, lose or draw tonight (in the UCF-USF game). Our focus was pretty good, special teams got it going and we went from there.

We saw some things last year out of him and I think the game is starting to slow down for him. He's starting to show up a little bit. I've been pretty impressed with his last couple of practices.
