We're hoping by the time we roll around in the fall we could take that variable of 'How much does a guy really know?' out of it. If he is struggling with the learning of it, he is probably not going to play. If he understands it, now it is more of a competition.
We know what it feels liked to be here and win it, and we know what it feels like to be here and lose it.
When you start talking about national implications, we really don't have much control over that at all.
We were definitely playing for a return. We didn't think they would do that. Give them a lot of credit. It takes a lot of nerve to do that.
We're beat up and fatigued and there are some guys in Gainesville licking their chops. The guys on our defense are flat-out warriors. (Defensive tackle) Ray Gant would not come out of the game and probably should have a couple of times. You have to tip your hat to them and coach Willie Martinez and rest of our defensive coaches.
We didn't really do a good job of telling everybody to keep it hush-hush. We just wanted to honor him tonight and show our support.
Those guys are hard to tackle. Even if you call the right defense and have guys in the right positions, you still have to bring them down and we didn't.
We played a great football team tonight. They executed beautifully. If I wasn't coaching against them, I really would have enjoyed watching it because they did a great job.

We were all excited about how the interview was going. I was thrilled to have him back, but it was a little bittersweet because we saw what Coach Ball had to offer also. This time around when a position became available I didn't need to do any interviewing.
We'll see if he can make some plays for us there, and see what happens over 15 practices. Even if he goes back to defense, he's creating some depth for us at receiver.
We'll see how (Sims) performs this week and next week. To have two weeks prior to making a decision is going to be a real fair test for him.
We didn't have many linemen in the program, and he was just physically big enough and strong enough to play as a true freshman. Then the next season he had to start because we lost six seniors.
Our punt team continues to do a great job.
