angle felt good guy mitt nice start
It felt a little awkward. But it was good to get up there and to start working to try to get down there on a nice angle and see a guy with a catcher's mitt and get after it.
ball breaking clicking command early fastball good needed reason whatever
I didn't have good command of my breaking ball or my fastball tonight. For whatever reason, things weren't clicking early on when I needed it.
birthday glad good great henry
Henry had a great day. I'm glad he had a good day, especially after his birthday.
accept attention enemies four good learned personally pitch respect responsibility scrutiny understand
He's made some enemies in this clubhouse, for good or for bad. What I've learned in the four years is I don't take anything personally anymore. I respect the attention I get, and understand the scrutiny I'm under. I accept it and I'll go with it and take that responsibility and go out and pitch this year.
player parent good-person
My parents didn't raise me to be a professional player. They raised me to be a good person.
feeling good knew supposedly wish
I had been feeling good all spring. I don't know how else to put it. If they knew what I had, I wish they would tell me what I supposedly had and we could do something about it.
athletic awesome country describe great played twice usa
I've represented the country twice and played on two USA teams. It's a great experience, it's an awesome experience. You can't describe it from an athletic standpoint.
fact satisfied side
It was unfortunate that it had come to this. I'm satisfied with the fact I was able to tell my side of the story.
arm bit break build certain distance extended last programs responding slower strength taking talked throwing trying
I've been on throwing programs before, but this one is a little more structured, trying to build up arm strength. I'm doing extended amounts of sets, throwing 20-25 at a certain distance and then taking a little break and going back a little bit farther. I think I'm responding to it well. We talked about it last year, that's how it would be - take it a little bit slower or a little bit more methodical.
behave move
I've always said I didn't behave rudely. I just want to move on.
rumors short
There have been a lot of rumors in my short career.
bad ball ground looking took
I was probably a little tired. I was looking for a ground ball and I got it and it took a bad hop.
ball breaking coming days felt hand line reason sync whatever
I was out of sync, ... I felt out of sync all day. I never was able to get into a groove, for whatever reason -- I don't know. The ball never felt comfortable coming out of my hand today. My breaking ball was awful. Some days you show up and for whatever reason it doesn't line up.
extremely items knew
Three-hundred items is a very simple, straightforward thing to do. I knew what was being said here was extremely complicated and extremely lengthy.
