He did a great job and kept us in the game. If you'd told me we'd have been tied when he was out there, let alone have a three-run lead, I'd have been happy.

I tip my hat to San Diego, they had a first-place season. Our guys, to get to this point from where we were, was a pretty good accomplishment. But it wasn't good enough, and I was just proud of my guys.

The whole game was about Hartmann getting strike one and then us swinging at bad pitches. We weren't selective at the plate. Late in the game, we're usually selective. It's not the first strike I'm worried about, it's the next two.

Other than a handful of games, we usually had a shot to win it at the end. That's called competing, and that's what our guys did. I'm really proud of the fact that they did that all year. They handled themselves like professionals.
