Well, we've been pretty consistent with our statements and what we want to do as a group, and that gets better each weekend. We've certainly made some strides in the early part of September to where we are now, but now it's time to elevate the bar a little bit more. The team has done some real nice things up to this point, and we've won a lot of hockey games, but now you got to keep watering it and put a little fertilizer on it and grow with it.

To do what we have done in four years, yeah, it's a little bit surprising. But at the same (time), if you bring in good players and you bring in kids who are committed not only for the academic standpoint but also committed to becoming better players, things can happen.

It can get a bit nerve-racking for a 17- or 18-year-old kid. So with here that was probably the biggest hurdle to get over. You come across Lake Michigan and it seems like you're in California. But I think she was comfortable here from the beginning.

We were fortunate with about seven or eight minutes to go in the third period they hit the post twice or three times in one shift. The second period was real big for us, because it kind of put the game out of reach. I challenged the team to come out and play like we wanted to win. It was kind of an 'eye of the tiger'-type thing where we ... let the other team know that we wanted to wrap it up and not let this thing linger on.
