Just one or two pitches, and then things got out of hand. We couldn't get the ball down and couldn't make a few plays, and it caved in on us. It was all of a sudden, boom. It was a great 2-1 ball game, and then ... you've got to make pitches. And the bullpen has been a bright spot for us this season. They've been strong for us. They gave it up tonight, but they've been consistent.

I wanted five good innings. Kellen Raab was going to be ready if we needed him. But Jackson just kept going and going.

Running behind all those big guys, he can get lost in there. That's an advantage for him.

Those guys can flat out hit. Fortunately our pitching was able to minimize the damage from the errors.

This was a nice one for us to get today. I'm really happy for Manuel. He battled and battled to get the count to 2-0. He then got a fast ball and was able to take it the other way, which is exactly what you're supposed to do in that situation.

We let him off the hook. He didn't have good command of the strike zone, and we needed to be more disciplined. We chased a lot of balls out of the strike zone.

We don't have a lot of secrets left, so everybody's got to step up. I think we have enough weapons that they can't key on one kid to shut us down. It's pretty much my best athletes against your best athletes.
