bit defense game gave generate half offense offensive second struggled
It was a game where we struggled to find any offensive rhythm. In the second half our defense gave us some things, and we were able to generate a little bit of offense to get back in the game.
half lack letting played shows strongly tonight tradition
To play a first half like we played tonight shows a lack of pride. I feel strongly about the tradition we have here at Toledo, and we're letting that tradition down big time.
answer great halftime lead run second shots squander struggle stuck switched
Our run was a great answer to their run. This is something that has plagued us all year. We would have a halftime lead and find a way to squander it away and then struggle in the second half to get it back. I think when we switched defenses was a big factor, and we also just stuck some shots when it counted.
against figure great half hard life players second sucked team trying
For the life of me, I'm at my wit's end trying to figure out how to get this team to play hard for 40 minutes. Against BG, we had a great first half and sucked the second half; against these guys, we sucked the first half and had a great second half, but not great enough. We've got a lot of players who just want to participate and don't want to compete.
enthusiasm games half last loved offense played positives sustain three
I loved our first half enthusiasm and intensity; it was played better than most games we've played, especially the last three games. There are a lot of positives we just need to be able to sustain our offense for a whole game.
honestly hurt might ready
We were ready for the press. It might have hurt us once or twice, but I honestly think it was as much us as it was them.
bright expect game others played plays seniors somebody standing taking tells
Every game, there is a bright spot. Every game, somebody plays well. That's not taking anything away from Amanda. She played like you want your seniors to play. I expect all of them to play well, I don't want any bright spots. Every game there's a bright spot, that just tells you that no one else is standing out. I think she did what she should do, play hard. That's something that the others still have to learn.
point quite
You get to that point where you get back into the game, and you just don't have quite enough to make one more push.
amanda bench deal energy gave great home last played playing proud scoring trouble
I was proud of Amanda Davis. Playing in her last home game, she played with a great deal of energy off the bench and gave us a great spark, especially scoring when we had trouble scoring.
build fact gives hope player program ray struggle
I struggle with the fact that our program isn't what it once was. But there is something, or someone, who gives me a ray of hope that we have the player we need to build around and get back there.
against best game gave
I'd be disappointed if we didn't play our best game against them. I think we gave them everything we had.
blossom diana glimpse hard might picks recover respect showing starting teammates turn works
She picks things up quickly. Diana is just starting to blossom and is only showing a glimpse of what she might turn out to be. Her teammates really respect her for how hard she works to recover from everything she has been through.
defense difference good job knew
We knew going in we had to get out on their 3-point shooters and I thought we did a good job with that. Our defense was the difference in tonight's game.
chose easy figure head ladies lone might players spring time wrapped
We were the lone rangers. That's not an easy thing to do, especially at the end of a disappointing season. Some players might figure it's time to get things wrapped up and head for spring break. Our ladies chose to play another day.
