I like to get out in the woods as much as I can to get my mind away from baseball and kind of get away from everything. It's nice to get out there and listen to everything, the wildlife and the smells.
First happened, I thought Josh Paul threw the ball to the mound like he caught it. It's a heads up play by A.J. to run to first base like that.
We didn't really want to make a big deal, ... We didn't win the World Series. We're just getting in the postseason. We've got a lot of work ahead of us. If we win the World Series or we win the American League Championship, then we can act like that.
Never say never in this game because crazy stuff can happen.
Everybody wants to be a professional baseball player and, sure, as a kid, I wanted to do that. But once I got cut from my high school team, I figured there wasn't much chance of that ever happening. I'm still in awe of it.
I knew I had to settle down. I knew we wouldn't score a lot off Burnett.
St. Louis has a better offense, but Houston has a better pitching staff. Either way you look at it, it's not going to be easy.
Once I got taken out, I gave high-fives to everybody on the offense. I said, 'Thanks for picking me up.
It's nice to start opening day and then I can get my ring and enjoy it.
The faster you work, the better off you're going to be, ... I just don't see any reason to go out there and waste time. Just get out there and throw the ball.
I keep hearing stuff that my arm is hurt and I'm injured. I don't know where this is coming from, but I feel fine.
I hung the ball the first couple of innings. Location-wise I didn't have it.
I'm able to control my emotions pretty good. But it's a little different situation this year.
I've heard rumours, so it's not just me saying this. I've heard it from tons of people. It's not just me saying this. ... Something's going on because they hit so good at home. The way they hit here, you'd have to raise an eyebrow to figure something's going on. Look at the stats. I'm not just making this up.
