I wish the time would have been different; when we didn't have to worry about Spring Training and could have been throwing already. It is what it is. It's too bad, because you always want to represent your country. I just wouldn't be ready.
Maybe the pitch count was up there, ... But I work hard every time I'm going there. What can I say? It was a good one.
We have to play Baltimore first, so we have to focus on them. And when the time comes, then we'll focus on Boston.
Definitely, I wish the timing would have been different, a time when we didn't have to worry about spring training and we have been throwing already so you can participate for your country. But it isn't. It is what it is. It's too bad.
You still have to get the final out. That's the most important out. This time it didn't come. It was a broken bat, but it was a single. That's what counts.
I always take time for somebody who wants to talk to me.
If I have to win one game, I’d have a hard time taking anybody over Dustin Pedroia as my second baseman.
Every day I come to the ballpark, I thank God that I'm wearing this uniform, for giving me the opportunity to be successful and last that long. To pitch that long and do it good, for the New York Yankees. It's great.
What can you do, these are games we have to win.
Whatever we need to do, I will do, ... It's pretty much the same as always. We've had to fight hard the last couple of years.
I didn't want to give in, ... I didn't want him to get a little blooper or something. I wouldn't have been able to sleep tonight.
I didn't want to give him anything for him to get a blooper. I wouldn't be able to sleep tonight.
Most of the time, he saved the games. The job that he did in the eighth inning was a tough job. To me, he was solid.
If we do our thing, just as we did tonight, we'll be all right.
