Through prayer we find what we cannot find elsewhere: a peace that is not of this world.
A primary goal of the spiritual life is to learn to quiet the mind through prayer and meditation, through spiritual practice, so that we can hear what in both Judaism and Christianity, is called the small, still voice within.
If our prayer is “Dear God, please use me to be of service,” then that is what we will be. And it is not for us to judge either the size or value of our gifts. Our job is to try to get out of the way, to defer to the spirit moving within us and become open channels for the flow of God’s love.
Every heart has a divine intelligence and natural guidance system. With every prayer, every meditation and every thought of love, we tune in to ours.
God, please use me" is the most powerful affirmation we can say for an abundant career. It is the miracle-worker's prayer. Everybody wants a great job. Accept that it's already been given you. Prayer is like pouring hot water on an ice cube, melting the cold and encrusted thought forms that still surround our hearts.
The purpose of daily prayer is the cultivation of a sense of the sacred. Sacred energy renews us.
So it is that a new politics centers around the arousal of that power, using prayer and meditation to create a force field of transformation.
The purpose of prayer is the alignment of the mind with the thoughts and the will of God.
Prayer enables us to transform the world because it transforms us.
