You can never take anything for granted especially against Heritage. They fight to the end and some crazy things have happened between these two teams in the past.

We've been working a lot with hitting with runners in scoring position and two-strike hitting and things. When you get two strikes, you shorten (your swing) up and try to hit it square.

He's on a pitch count and he used half of them up in the first inning and got me a little nervous. But after that, he really settled in and got in his groove and pitched great.
