clean few heels notch past playing playoff seems sitting step weeks wind
We need to step it up another notch before Wednesday. It seems like we've been sitting around on our heels the past few weeks playing not to get hurt. When you do that, you wind up playing not to win, and we have to clean that up before our first playoff game.
almost guys intensity league playing winning
Giles said. ''We've got it now. With these young guys we have the intensity that we need. It's almost like we're 10 years old playing Little League again, but winning is more important now.
almost ball college fun league playing win
It's not a 'rah-rah' college atmosphere, but it's fun and it's exciting. We're here to win ball games. It's almost like we're 10 years old playing Little League again.
almost clubhouse fun game intensity league playing
With these young guys, we have the intensity we need. It's almost like we're 10 years old playing in Little League again, but winning's more important now. It's just a lot of fun in the clubhouse now before the game and after the game.
changing coming guys
Things are changing. We've got the young guys coming in here changing it for us.
clutch couple keeps last
Same old Pedro he's been the last couple of years. He keeps you off balance. We had our chances, we just couldn't get any clutch hits.
baseball caught gone last ourselves pat running series three winning
Running away with it is the last thing we need to do. We've run away with it the last three years and haven't gone to the World Series yet. I think we get a little too caught up in winning the division. We always want to pat ourselves on the back ... for winning 13 in a row. Let's see how many World Series we can win in a row, or even get to.
guys learn losing maybe rest seems silly top worth year
To me, it's not worth losing one of your top guys and they can't play the rest of the year for a concert. It kind of seems silly to me. Maybe we can learn something from this.
felt nice road trip
That was a seven-game road trip and it really felt like two weeks. It's just nice to be home.
pick time
I think if I could pick any time for us to get hot, it's right now.
ball good hit lucky nice saw
I think I just got as lucky as I ever have in my life, because I don't think I ever saw the pitch. It's just nice to hit a ball on the barrel, and more importantly, it's just nice to see us play good ball.
bit exactly game maybe spark
I think this is exactly what we need. I think we need a bit of a challenge, something to maybe spark us and something to get us going. This game is all about momentum, and right now we don't have it.
ahead fit fits future great hate kyle lose moves personal piece puzzle team
From a personal standpoint, I hate to lose Roman; he's got a great future ahead of him. From a team standpoint, we need to make moves that can fit in like a piece in a puzzle. Kyle Farnsworth fits in a little better into our puzzle right now.
deal
I don't know what the deal is. It's pretty sore.
